HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT I have a desire to volunteer, at no charge, and assist Four Peaks Foundation dba Four Peaks Animal Rescue in the care, treatment and housing of domestic animals and also in the educational programs and events involving domestic animals. I am aware that such work involves exposure to domestic animals, possible disease, risk of physical injury, including but not limited to bites, scratches, actual attacks by domestic animals and the emotional trauma that my result from such injury. Four Peaks Foundation dba Four Peaks Animal Rescue has taken every reasonable precaution but can not guarantee absolute safety in the handling of domestic animals either on its premises or any other housing facility; in the relocation of or rescue events or in any transportation of such animals due to their inherent nature. Therefore, to ensure that Four Peaks Foundation dba Four Peaks Animal Rescue can maintain its volunteer base, the volunteer and Four Peaks agree to the following: •    Four Peaks will take all reasonable steps to insure the volunteer’s safety. •    The volunteer acknowledges that regardless of such precautions the aforementioned risk of serious injury exists in any activity that involves exposure to domestic animals. •    The volunteer acknowledges and understands that Four Peaks does not guarantee or make any representation concerning the safety or suitability of its precautions and customary safeguards and that as a volunteer, he or she undertakes any volunteer activity agreeing to hold Four Peaks Foundation dba Four Peaks Animal Rescue harmless from any injury that might occur as a result of such volunteer activities, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, death or property damage. Furthermore, I agree to hold harmless and release from liability any third-party site at which Four Peaks Foundation dba Four Peaks Animal Rescue conducts adoption events, such claims including but not limited to claims for personal illness or injury, death or property damage. Third-party sites shall include but are not limited to Karsten’s Ace Hardware, PetSmart, and any and all PACC911 venues. This is a binding and legal document and it has significant implications as to your legal rights.  By signing this document you may have deemed to surrendered legal rights.  Do not sign this document if you do not understand it.
